My master degree
The title of my report is
Normes
infinies des fonctions propres de surfaces arithmétiques.
(Infinite norms of eigenfunctions on arithmetic surfaces)
It consists in a detailed study of
the following paper of P. Sarnak and H. Iwaniec:
Infinite norms of eigenfunctions of
arithmetic surfaces, Annals Of Mathematics 141 (1995), no. 2,
301--320.
It gives
me the opportunity to master the langage of automorphic forms on GL(2) in the
compact and non-compact case and to get some feeling about arithmetic quantum
chaos. On an algebraic point of view, I have to understand the theory of
quaternion algebras. Last but not least, I get some knowledge about a
wonderfull analytic technique: the amplification method!
